Meet Dr. Nick: Alaska’s Best Physician
Hey Fairbanks! Have you met Dr. Nick Sarrimanolis yet?
Whether you’re a seasoned patient or looking around for a new go-to physician. Dr. Sarrimanolis is your guy.
Educated in Ohio, Dr. Nick originally began his medical journey in Greece during a study abroad program where he studied classical and modern Greek. Following this, he received a full ride to Oberlin where he completed his B.A.n in 1989.
From undergrad, Dr. Nick knew that he wanted to pursue medicine and was accepted to The Ohio State University College of Medicine (sorry Nanook, or Seawolves fans). While in medical school, Dr. Nick received numerous accolades and honors including (but not limited to) Samuel J. Rossler Medical Research Scholarship, Years Med I and Med II, as well as four separate honors for his work in pediatrics, family practice rotation, and internal medicine.
After receiving his M.D., he continued his stay in Ohio, completing his internship and residency at The Ohio State Medical Center in 1997 where he received a Performance of Excellence Award.
In 1998 Dr. Nick passed his Internal Medicine board exam and was ready to start practicing his craft.
Although he was quick to get involved with a practice immediately, working at the Mad River Internal Medicine clinic in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Dr. Nick also felt passionate about giving back. Alongside practicing internal medicine, he also got involved teaching at his medical school alma mater as a clinical assistant professor of internal medicine.
As he was growing his credentials by teaching and doing, in 2001 Dr. Nick relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska, a place he has called home ever since.
Upon moving he began working at the Tanana Valley Clinic as a physician bolstering their internal medicine practice. However, while he had found his home in Alaska, in 2003 he decided to branch out on his own and start up his own practice.
For the past 17 years, Dr. Nick has been proud to serve the citizens and help them with their internal medicine needs. As a privately practicing physician, he knows the importance of treating each patient like the unique individual they are and curates an ambiance where patients feel safe and heard.
